Course Information
Intended Audience
This Level 2 Award in CitizenAID (RQF) course has been developed for all members of the public who wish to learn valuable life-saving skills and techniques for use in the event of a shooting, stabbing, bombing or other deliberate incident
Pre-requisites
- Be 16 years or older
- Sufficient English speaking and literacy skills
- Proof of ID & residence
Course Overview
This course teaches learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in extreme situations.
Course Syllabus
Includes:
- Prioritising multiple casualties
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty who is breathing
- Controlling severe external bleeding
Assessment Term
This will be a mixture of knowledge and practical based activities/assessments
