The Door Supervisor Top-Up course is for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements.
- Have an in-date SIA Door Supervisors Licence
- Hold an in-date HSE-complaint First Aid Certificate – Valid for at least 12 months
- Sufficient English speaking and literacy skills
- Have no criminal record

Course Overview
The changes introduced to SIA Licensing in April 2021 have become a central part of daily life for security professionals. Licensed security professionals must take Top-Up Up Training to ensure they have this knowledge when renewing their SIA Licence.

The SIA have introduced that anyone wanting to attend a Door Supervisor Top-Up must now have a minimum of a Level 3 Emergency First Aid certificate with at least 12 months validity left when attending.
We run a First Aid course before all our Top-Up courses.
Syllabus
Includes:
- Terror threats and the role of the security operative in the event of a threat
- Use of equipment relevant to a door supervisor
- Actions to take concerning global (or critical) incidents
- Physical interventions and the implications of their use
- How to reduce the risks associated with physical intervention
Assessment
Three multiple-choice exams and a trainer observation
