The SIA are revising their specifications for learning and qualifications that form the basis of the qualifications needed to obtain an SIA licence. The specifications outline what an individual needs to know and be a…ble to do in their role as a security operative.

They have published proposed training content for each of the activities we currently license. The content includes suggestions made by their expert working groups – advisory panels composed of industry representatives and subject matter experts from the industry.

They request that you read these documents and let them know what you think. They want the licence-linked training to be as robust as possible and your input will help them to get things right, and will lead to real benefits for both the private security industry and the public.
